Best of the Best: Stokke Steps wins prominent international design award

The Stokke design department and the designers from Permafrost have been honoured with the Red Dot: Best of the Best award for the Stokke Steps seating system.

The Red Dot design award is the world’s largest and most recognized product design competition, and the Red Dot: Best of the Best is their highest distinction.

The Stokke Steps system is the result of a comprehensive and highly user-centric design process. A strong focus on ergonomics coupled with uncompromising attention to detail has resulted in a simple, modern and attractive chair with extraordinary functionality and longevity. Through the use of interchangeable modules, Stokke Steps is able to grow with the child from birth up to ten years age.

This year’s Red Dot: Best of the Best award marks the second consecutive honour for the combined efforts of Permafrost and Stokke. In 2014, the Stokke Crusi stroller was also named Red Dot: Best of the Best.
